Sunrise Tour of Muir Woods is a sunrise guided tour through Muir Woods National Monument. While the early hour may seem uncivilized, if not down-right obscene, sunrise is a particularly beautiful time to visit an old-growth redwood forest. You’ll learn about the local plant and animal residents which are more likely to be seen in the early morning, all of whom have been invited to stop by and meet you.The sunrise tour starts at 7:00 AM. Muir Woods National Monument is located at 1 Muir Woods Road in Mill Valley.

What’s On The Airwaves
If you are out and about today or at home doing projects or just hanging out and have the radio on or able to stream this is my recommendation for great music programming throughout the day and evening.
I recommend starting the morning off at 6:30 AM streaming WWOZ with a The Gospel Show hosted by the wonderful Lauren Mastro
Following Lauren at 8:00 AM is Old Time Country and Bluegrass with Hazel The Delta Rambler. Hazel has been hosting this great program since 1977 with music and interviews with old-time country, folk and bluegrass musicians.
Following The Delta Rambler at 10:00 AM is The Cajun and Zydeco Show hosted by the old Acadian Charles Laborde or Jim Hobbs
I then suggest at 11:00 AM turning on your radio and tuning the dial or streaming over to KPFA 94.1 for six hours of great music programming starting at 11:00 AM with Across The Great Divide with Kevin Vance who hosts a program of folk, rock, blues and acoustic music. Highly recommended!!
Following Kevin at 1:00 PM is without question the best Americana music show this side of the Milky Way America’s Back Forty the hicks from coast to coast hosted by the truly wonderful and Bay Area treasure Mary Tilson.
Following Mary from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM you will hear either Panhandle Country hosted by Tom Diamont or Pig In A Pen hosted by Ray Edlund. Both programs feature some of the best traditional country, bluegrass, cajun, western swing, old time string band and country jazz.
Video Pick of The Week!!
Remastered: Who Shot The Sheriff tells the story of reggae artist Bob Marley found himself caught in the crossfire of warring political factions in Jamaica, surviving a murder attempt in 1976. Documentarians explore who could be held accountable for the deed.
