Hardly Strictly Bluegrass

Hardly Strictly Bluegrass 2019 is just a few weeks away Friday October 4th- Sunday October 6th. The full lineup schedule is in. HSB is living up to its name as one of the most eclectic music festivals. Despite having fewer bluegrass acts this year than any year I can remember this years festival promises to be one of the most diverse in many years.. For what its worth my daily recommendations are as follows..

Friday
My must see list are as follows.

Chastity Brown is a multi-instrumental singer/songwriter gospel soul singing sensation. She really rocks.. She is performing at the Rooster Stage from 12:20-1:05.

Guitar master Bill Frisell will be performing at the Rooster Stage from 1:35-2:25.

One of the great Celtic rock n’ roll/folk traditional bands, the legendary
The Waterboys are performing at the Swan Stage from 2:55-3:55..

Three time GRAMMY winning soul singer Bettye LaVette is performing at the Rooster Stage from 4:20-5:20.

Syrian born nomad singer/songwriter Bedouine is performing at the Bandwagon Stage from 5:10-5:50.

The great Stax influenced soul band St.Paul & The Broken Bones will be closing the night out at the Banjo Stage from 5:55-7:00 PM.

New Orleans folk rock/funk/gospel band Tank & The Bangas perform at the Towers of Gold Stage from 2:10-3:00.

One of the great bluegrass mandolinists Sierra Hull performs at the Porch Stage from 5:00-5:40.
