Club Deluxe 1511 Haight St, San Francisco 9:30-12:30 Showtime Mike Olmas Presents The Sessions Mike Olmas The Sidewinder Mike is a such a great trumpet player. He leads his allstar Sessions with a great night of jazz. N/C

Tuesday December 12th

Black Cat 400 Eddy St, San Francisco 7:00PM-11:30 Showtime Patrick Wolff Patrick Wolff live in Oakland Patrick is such a great tenor player and his band so tight. If you love straight ahead jazz you need to check him and his band out. $15 Cover Charge

Wednesday December 13th

Bottom Of The Hill 1233 17th St, San Francisco 8:30 PM Showtime A night of indie rock and folk with El Cajon El Cajon Meteor This is a really good indie rock band that should receive more attention. The Overtones and Annie Bacon
Annie performing I want to Die Like Lou Reed Annie is a fine singer songwriter. $15 Cover Charge

Revolution Cafe 3248 22nd St, San Francisco 8:30-11:30 Showtime Americano Social Club Americano Social Club Ain’t No Sunshine A great trio with a repertoire ranging from gypsy jazz, Brazilian, folk rock and even classical. N/C

Thursday December 14th

Brick and Mortar 1710 Mission St, San Francisco 8 pm Showtime Derrick Hodge Derrick Hodge Dances with Ancestors Derrick Hodge is one of the best jazz bassists on the planet. He is a great composer, record producer, and musical director. I first heard Derrick when he was a key member of Robert Glasper Experiment. This will be a great show. $25 Cover Charge

Bing Concert Hall 327 Lasuen St, Stanford, CA 7:30 Showtime
The Klezmatics Klezmatics Hanukkah Gelt One of the great American klezmer bands and the only klezmer band to win a grammy. A great night of joy and fun. $10-$65 Cover Charge

Revolution Cafe 3248 22nd St, San Francisco 8:30-11:30 Showtime Banda Sin Nombre Sobra Una Tumba Una Rumba One of my favorite local bands. This amazing 5 piece world music ensemble is such a joy. N/C

Slims 333 11th St, San Francisco 8PM Showtime Mitch Polzak Mitch Polzak and The Royal Dueces Whole Lot of Shaking Going On Mitch is a master guitarist and he and The Royal Deuces has been one of the premier Rockabilly bands since staring in 1999. I am a huge fan. Highly recommended $15 Cover Charge

Friday December 15th

The Freight and Salvage 2020 Addison St, Berkeley 8:00 PM Showtime Richard Thompson I Want To See The Bright Lights (Solo) The great singer songwriter and master guitarist is performing solo. $54 Dollar Cover Charge

The Boom Boom Room 1601 Fillmore St, San Francisco 9:30 Showtime Papa Mali Papa Mali Blue Railroad Train The legendary New Orleans based, American singer-songwriter, guitarist and producer will be in performance. Highly recommended. $18 Cover Charge

Biscuits and Blues 401 Mason St, San Francisco 7:30-10:00 Showtimes Elvin Bishop Elvin Bishop Live This legendary blues and rock icon will be performing with his Big Fun Trio. Elvin is so much fun and entertaining. $50 cover charge


Saturday December 16th

The Bird and Beckett 653 Chenery St, San Francisco 7:30 Showtime Denise Perrier Denise sings Fly Me to the Moon Denise is a great jazz vocalist.I love her phrasing and her swinging interpretations. This should be a great show. $20 Cover Charge
