One of the brightest young talents in the Big Easy, New Orleans-born vocalist Sasha Masakowski has a marvelous voice that can be sly, sexy, exotic and arresting as she works her way through an incredibly diverse array of music that crosses cultural and stylistic lines in interesting ways. Howell Devine is the massively talented NorCal trio featuring Joshua Howell (Vocals, Guitar, Harmonica)Pete Devine (Drums & Washboard) and Joe Kyle Jr. (Upright Bass). HowellDevine breaks from the norm, providing rich and complex textures integral to the music rather than simple backing for a soloist. The result is a sound which stands in stark contrast to the typical blues heard in bars these days and would more likely be shaking the floors of a Southern juke joint some 70 years ago. Hannah Wicklund & The Steppin Stones is one of the best raw, young talented blues rock bands to come along in a while. Hanna is a monster guitar player, and has a great raw bluesy singing voice. The band has been billed alongside legacy acts such as Jefferson Starship, Kansas and The Marshall Tucker Band. Opening up for Hanna and the band is Think No Think is a noisy and powerful three piece rock band, from Austin,TX. With leader John Dowey on Vocals and Guitar, Nick Bakke on Drums, and Lee Adams on Bass, they are voluminous, menacing, and beautiful, all at once.
